A Jurassic Park Story
Rating: PG | Skill Level: Beginner
After the incident in San Diego in 1997, the World suddenly was aware that Dinosaurs lived
again. The discussion as to what to do with these creatures lost in time began. Some
wanted to harvest the island creatures for various reasons; some wanted the creatures
destroyed. However, it was the voice of John Hammond, the former CEO of InGen, that
ultimately succeeded in ensuring the isolation of these creatures.
That same year, the US Government passed the Gene Guard Act in cooperation with
the Costa Rican Government, preventing anyone from landing on any of the Islands that
were once owned by InGen. After it passed, the island was left alone to grow. At least that
was what the public knew. In September of 1999, a group of InGen Scientists snuck onto
the Isla Sorna with the intention of Cloning new dinosaurs that were not already on InGen’s
Species List. Nine months later, four new species were released onto Isla Sorna after being
abandoned by the Scientists that created them.
But this is not that story. This is the story of a pack of Velociraptors trying to survive
on Isla Sorna. This pack had originally been in the InGen Compound where Dr. Malcolm’s
group escaped from in 1997, but after the incident, they travelled to the other side of the
island to create a new home for themselves. Since then, their life has been quiet and alone
with none of the other creatures coming to bother them. That is until one of the new
residents came to visit.
